This month, JaNiece Sopha is the focus of our Employee Spotlight! Originally from Oxford, GA, JaNiece joined Carey Law Office this past fall. Her soft southern charm and easygoing attitude has certainly made our busy office more pleasant! As our Case Manager, she personally handles each of our clients’ cases, assisting them with whatever they may need. JaNiece is the face of our firm and the first person you’ll see when you walk in the door.
We sat down with JaNiece to ask the real hard-hitting questions.
Carey Law Office (CLO): What are the best and worst things about your job?
JaNiece Sopha (JS): The best thing about my job is that I get to see such a change in our clients from when they walk into our office to when they walk out. Some clients come into our office very obviously stressed, looking like they just aren’t sure what to do next. However, after speaking with Mr. Carey [our attorney], who assures them that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, they leave with a sense of security knowing that there are answers to their problems and hope for their situation, no matter what their reason may be for visiting us.
The worst part of my job is that McDonald’s is next door to us instead of Starbucks! 🙂
CLO: What are some of your favorite hobbies?
JS: I enjoy planting a garden full of flowers every year, and hope to even get a few vegetables planted this year. I also love to read historical fiction. When the weather is cooperative, I like to go for runs; when it is cold, I hit the gym quite frequently.
CLO: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
JS: I have a very dear friend who lives in Abu Dhabi whom I miss very much. The photographs she shares with me of the area are stunning. I would love to visit her there one day.
CLO: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
CLO: Name one of your heroes and describe why he/she inspires you.
JS: My mother is my hero. She is a loving, caring, hard-working woman who has never stopped believing in me.
That concludes our interview! We’re lucky we got a chance to catch up with JaNiece, as she is an extremely busy person. She enjoys interacting with everyone who comes in our office, so be sure to say hi next time you stop by!
