Super Lawyers is an objective rating service that creates an annual list of “outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.” You cannot purchase a place on the list, and selection one year does not guarantee selection the next. Only 5% of all eligible attorneys will be named to the Super Lawyers list for their practice area and region each year.

About our award-winning attorney
Joseph “Joe” Carey is the founder and principal attorney at Carey Law Office. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 1980, and the General Practice Solo and Small Firm Division since 2007. He was also invited for membership in the Maryland Bar Association in 2014, an organization which is limited to only two percent of all Bar members. He is also the Treasurer of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association, a position he’s held since 2017.
Mr. Carey maintains an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubble. He has been a member of the Calvert County Bar Association since 1999.
